"We had recordead(sic) the demos for the EP upside down on the top of an active volcano back in 2002 and we had heard a lot about underwater recording and we already super interested!" said singer Meredith Godreau of the project. Andrew Futral added: "We tend to work better under time pressure and so I thought 3 miles of water above us was a lot of pressure and could only improve the tone ... Meredith tried a few times to explain to me how water pressure was not the same as the pressure you feel when you are in a time crunch at work ... to this day I don't really see what she was getting at but I think the EP speaks for itself". The work does speak for itself because rather than spend any money on promoting the release their record label spent all the money teaching compact discs to actually talk. "They can only say a few words right now" said Meredith "They know a few sentences ... but so far it's only in the past tense ... it get's confusing ... also they scream every time they are played ...
